What Causes Clicking Sounds While Moving Head Side To Side?
Question: Last night I heard a pop in my head, but no other issues. Today there is a "clicking" noise (internal) when I move my head side to side. It is sore on both sides of my neck near my ears, I was driving when the "pop" occurred. What could be causing this? I have been traveling quite a bit for work so I am fatigued. Thanks, XXXXX
Brief Answer:
You have tense muscles causing musculoskeletal pressure and strain/sprain
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. Sorry to hear about the head and neck issues. Please note that it seems to me that you are travelling and not having enough rest. Note that you have probably strained your muscles and what they will do is contort you skeletal system causing the popping, kind of like when one is stressed and they crack their knuckles. I would advise you to stretch each morning before the day starts and along your daily activities. I hope this helps, good luck and thanks.
