What Causes Cognitive Decline And Hair Loss While On Rivotril And Levipil?
Question: hi,
i am XXXXXXX and i am 20 year old girl and its been almost 4 years that i have suffering from epilepsy and the medicines i take are
levipil 500
rivotril 0.5mg
cetadom for headache
recently i have been feeling that my memory power and concentration power are falling down. i have also been facing horrible hairfall since 4-5 years and i am also gaining weight inspite of regular workout. i am obese by 7-8 kgs.
are these issues of hairfall,obesity and loss of concentration the side effects of any of these tablets?

and i had been checked for thyroid 2 years ago and it was normal. probably i should get it checked once again.
and how far is cetadom effective for headache as these days i end up taking more than 2-3 pills per day.

It is advisable to check for thyroid profile again along with a complete pelvic scan.Please update me with its reports.
CETADOM is absolutely an ineffective drug for a headache.Increasing the dosage will have NO benefit.
I advise you to consider Tab SAFEDICLO a fixed drug combination of Diclofenac Sodium and Rabeprazole for an effective pain relief.Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe them to you.

please do not judge me on this basis as i am just fed up with taking medicines and their side effects and want to exactly know how each medicine works and its side effects.

Those 3 are Levipil, Topiramate and Zonisamide.
This weight loss is a side effect of levipil.
Since you are putting on weight along with hair loss, the need to screen for a thyroid and an ovarian disorder is mandatory. Hence, I advised you to get a thyroid profile and pelvic scan.
I never advised you to continue Levipil for producing weight loss.Please correct yourself in case you have any misinterpretation with regards to levipil and weightloss.
