What Causes Cold And Sore Spot On Neck After Protected Intercourse?

Question: I had what was considered a safe encounter sexually with a female, but had the HIV test done between 9-11 days to check and at 21 days a Combo test both negative.
I just had a slight cold and now have a sore spot in neck...dr. checked and did endoscope and saw nothing...said my nodes were not enlarged...can you have one painful node expressing early signs of HIV??

Brief Answer:
Your test seems Ok
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I have read your query and I have understood your concern.
A negative, 21 day, combo Hiv screening test is suggestive that you are Ok. Systemic symptoms of Hiv i.e fever, lymphadenopathy, fatigue, weight loss, skin rash etc usually develop for the first time at about 3-4 weeks of infection, however, it is more usually a constellation of signs of symptoms rather than just a single node.
Regards
