What Causes Cold Sensation In The Right Hand?
Explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Based on your history its likely to be secondary Raynaud phenomenon which manifests as recurrent vasospasm of the extremities usually in response to stress or cold exposure. Its commonly associated with autoimmune disorders especially LUPUS (SLE).
Triggers that cause the cold hand/ fingers episodes should be pinpointed and avoided. Smoking should be avoided as its also a known trigger in addition to cold and stress. Keeping the affected hand warm and using topical nitroglycerine can help with symptomatic relief. The main aim is to address the cause which in your case is likely to be the SLE. Flares of the disease should be adequately controlled with immune suppressants.
If the condition, worsens or persists then further workup including Doppler flow studies and arteriography can be advised in consult with your doctor.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
