What Causes Cold, Sore Throat And Severe Dry Cough?
Question: hello Doctor,
My wife(age:28) is suffering with cold,sorethroat and severe cough(dry) from 2 days.cough and sore throat is much bothering.coughing is more at nights.she's alight feverish too.please help.

According the history given, she is suffering from Viral flu.
So dont worry.Usually viral flue is self limiting.It reduces on its own,as our body requires some time to produce immunity against it.
It will get resolved within 1 week.
Let her start with the Tab Sinarest twice daily , morning and night after food for 3 days, which reduced both cold& fever.
For soar throat she should do, salt water gargling or gargling with any mouth Lozenges.She can use strepsils too for the relief.
If required She can start Antibiotic Tab Azithromycin 500mg once daily for 3 days to prevent secondary bacterial infection for the throat
Drink plenty of water preferably filter/boiled.
Avoid oily/ outside food
Take proper rest.
