What Causes Constant Belching Despite Taking Medication?
Question: I have been belching for 6 days. I have tried Alka-Seltzer Heartburn Relief chews and 1 reg. XXXXXXX XXXX

Hi,
I am so sorry to hear about this belching that you have reported. I will like to know if there has been any associated heartburns to this. Also, how have you felt since using the above mentioned medications? Has there been any relief?
Heartburns could be related to acid reflux disease or to diet. If the above medications haven't helped, then this might be more related to diet. In this case, I will suggest that you avoid mixing several different fruit types as this is the most common origin of excess gas production that causes belching.
If the drugs have been helpful, this may be acid reflux. In this case, adjusting the medications to standard recommended therapy with 20mg of omeprazole daily would be the best thing to do.
