Question: Seen my Doctor for ear pressure and mental foggieness nearly 3 weeks ago and was treated for possible allergies. BP, Vitals and Temp were good. I was given a regiment of steroids which seemed to help during the dosage period. Since Ive ran out of the steroids the ear pressure and mental foggieness have returned along with pressure from inside the left ear which feels as though it runs down the left side of my spine mid way down my back. No pain per say but pressure from the ear down the neck and middle back, Doctor said left sinus cavity was pretty swollen and I feel as if it still is. Feels as though my left ear always needs to pop as if getting of a plane.Quite irritating and having difficulty focusing.

I Feel foggy due to the ear pressure which sometimes has minor burning in the ear region similar to a sinus headache. No colorful discharge or excessively thick mucas associated with it.

Was considering seeing a chiropractor.

Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
CT PNS is required at the moment

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir

I can certainly understand your concern.

You possibly seem to have associated sinuses pathology that is causing the symptoms.

Continuing the steroids is not always advisable.

It's important that you get a CT scan of the paranasal sinuses at the earliest to rule out sinus pathology.

The ear pressure can result from disturbed sinus flow, which can also result in fogginess.

It's nit advisable to see a chiropractor at this point.

CT scan of the paranasal sinuses can throw significant light on Eustachian tube pathology that can help in making an appropriate diagnosis and treatment.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these tests to you.

Further management if any is largely based on test results.

Post your further questions if any.
Thank you.
