What Causes Constant Chest Discomfort And Chronic Dry Cough?
Question: Hello. Last night I went to the ER with chest discomfort and a chronic dry cough I've had for a few months. I have a history of PE's so they did a CTA and luckily my heart was good and no PE. But, they did note that I have two small indeterminate noncalcified lung nodules. The ER doctor said the pulmonologist looked at the films and said I need a biopsy. I did not meet the pulmonologist. I guess they didn't do the written report of the long findings since it was a CT for my heart. How can I get more information I can't see a pulmonologist for two Weeks. Thanks

I am wondering why the pulmonologist who reviewed the CT said I need a biopsy without ever meeting me or talking to me. He/she only spoke to the ER doctor. Is that normal?
