What Causes Constant Cold And Painful Right Side Of Face?

Question: Hi, I m asking this for my brother who's in Uruguay . For the past two weeks he is suffering from cold . He took some medicines after consulting a doctor there. But now he is having some additional problems like , "his full right side face is paining" ; "pain in his right and upper side tooth". Since he is so far from us(we are in India) , we are worrying a lot. Can you please let us know whether this leads to any severe problem ?
Brief Answer:
he is having a sinus infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello
From the symptoms which you have told me , it looks like that your brother is having a sinus infection which is causing the pain on his face and teeth.
Please dont worry as this is common after an attack of cold.
Please ask him to meet an ent doctor , who will examine him and confirm this.
from the severity of his complaints it looks like that he may need antibiotics and pain killers for the infection and i would like him to meet his doctor for the prescription.
For the time being he can take tablet paracetamol 500 mg for the pain and steam inhalation 2-3 times a day , it will help reduce the sinus congestion.
Thanks
