Question: I have been nursing slow fever for a month now.The trend is such that it starts from 96.8 in the morning, peaks around 11:30 am to 99.8 and then gets back to normal by night...I feel persistent weakness and at times get breathless..I have got all my tests done cbc,ESR,tuberculosis, typhoid, urine culture, jaundice but all the reports seem normal.what could this be? Should I.take some more tests?

Brief Answer:
you need to get clinically examined and investigated thoroughly after further clarifications ..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX, Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern..

Now first of all please note that temperature of 96.8 Degree fahrenheit is not fever, in fact any temperature below 100 Degree fahrenheit is not clinically fever..

What you're experiencing is otherwise termed as constitutional symptoms, and can be there due to several causes (there's a whole bucket list of causes for this, i'm not going to mention them as they'll make you nothing but more anxious in this regard)..

Please let me know if there's any chills or rigor associated with this feverish feeling..

Any significant past/present medical/surgical ailments ?

Any recent history of any bug bite/rash of any kind over any part of the body ?

Any persistent weight loss ?

Any particular swelling/lump over any region of body ?

No dear, no more tests immediately, it seems like a lot more have been done already, so let's just narrow down the probable cause as much as possible with the help of these information and data and a proper thorough clinical examination..

Can you please upload those tests and the previous doctor's prescriptions so that I can take a detailed look at them which will help me understanding the current scenario for guiding you more specifically.. you can simply take snapshots and upload them here at the reports section or you can even email them to YYYY@YYYY and keep the subject as ATTN:Dr Arnab and i'll get them..

Also please let me know which doctor have you consulted ? Any general physician or specialist (if specialist, please let me know which speciality)..

I'm waiting for those details so that I can guide you more specifically dear..

Kind Regards
