What Causes Constant Throat Clearing And Cough?

Question: I am constantly making my self cough too clear my throat and so much mucus I cant handle it just wondering what it may be this has been going on for years but it has gotten way worse the last couple months

Hi..Welcome to healthcare magic...
I have gone through your question...constant throat clearing and cough suggestive of chronic sinus pathology... In chronic sinus pathology you will get post nasal discharge...that is trickling of mucus from sinus into throat which makes you clear your throat constantly and you will cough to throw it out....the diagnosis can be confirmed by taking x ray of sinus which shows haziness.

I recommend a course of antibiotics and antihistaminics ...and steam inhalation which ventilate the sinuses and helps in clearing pus...and decrease edema of sinus mucosa...if you have got headache take tab paracetamol... Once the sinus pathology comes down...You will be relieved of all your symptoms.
