What Causes Constant Twitching In Left Eyelid?
Question: I recently have been experiencing continuous twitching of my left eyelid. It seems to have gradually increased in regularity over the past few months.
Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised, visit a neurologist
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Eyelid twitching can be non specific and use of calcium supplements with anxiolytics may be helpful.
In case the movement leads to eye closure or facial deviation, it needs to be evaluated for blepharospasm or hemifacial spasm and needs management in a different way.
For this you need to visit to the neurologist for examination.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health and early recovery.

Thank you, Dr. XXXXXXX I should be a bit more specific to ensure you understand the symptom. The twitching sensation is not causing me to blink. It simply feels like a spasmatic "flutter" in the lid itself.
I add this description only to be sure that your first answer matches your perception of my symptom.
I do take a multi-vitamin with calcium supplement but I will look into anxiolytics also.
Cheers!

Brief Answer:
Get treatment as advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Non specific eyelid twitching is the cause.
Continue calcium and vitamin supplements. Take clonazepam 0.25 mg twice daily and stop focusing on the issue.
Avoid too much stress on eyes. Decrease computer or Television work. Decrease excessive tea or coffee intake.
It will go on its own.
Wishing you good health and early recovery.
