Brief Answer:
Modify diet and take medicine as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query in Healthcaremagic.com.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.

I understand your concern.
Regular intake of laxatives might lead to diarrhea. That is why, we generally ask the patients to use laxatives wisely. Patients who are chronically constipated might not have good bowel clearance everyday but when one keeps taking laxatives regularly, it might cause harm rather than helping you.
Hence, the problem you are having might be solved by diet modification and taking medicine as and when required.
I generally advise the following in such cases-

Diet modification in the form of avoiding rich, spicy food and excess protein intake. Taking lots of dietary fibers and lots of oral fluid may be helpful to form the bulk and pass stool regularly. Also, restriction of alcohol and smoking is important.
Regular exercise in form of swimming, cycling, brisk walking is very useful to enhance metabolism.
Taking the laxative you are using i.e. osmolax as and when required. Or you can take isphagula husk at bed time for good bowel clearance the next day.
Pantoprazole-levosulpiride daily for 1 month for regular bowel movements.

You can discuss the above with your treating or family doctor and get these prescribed. Also, you can talk to your doctor for modification of dose or changing of the drugs which cause constipation if possible.

Hope I have answered your question.
If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
