Colonoscopy should be done.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
At your age such symptoms should force you to have colonoscopy done. Colon cancer is the first issue which should be ruled out. Such recurring symptoms can be caused by a tumor which occasionally blocks (obstructs) intestines and until the obstacle wont be forced, the symptoms mentioned by you can be present.
You may also have this symptoms from bacterial infection of gastrointestinal tract, however this issue gives diarrhea as the main symptoms.
I suggest you to do not wait any longer. Please consult your doctor, have blood work done and abdominal ultrasound. Get scheduled for colonoscopy.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

If you have read much about the colon cancer, you should know that there is no typical and characteristic symptoms for this cancer in early stages. Please note that it can grow for 10 years without any symptoms or the symptoms can be similar to other issues. That is why every person over the age of 50 should have colonoscopy every 10 years when there is no symptoms at all!. And person over 50 should have colonoscopy right away (no matter when the last one was done) if any gastrointestinal symptoms are present.
Diarrhea or bloody stool are symptoms of large colon cancer. Believe me, blood from colon cancer is invisible with naked eye. That is why we have FOBT (fecal occult blood test).
In general change in bowels patter (seem that you have such thing) can indicate colon cancer.
So please consider colonoscopy.

I do know its cyclic. I have read your first query carefully. I do not assume that you have colon cancer. I just want you to have it ruled out just for your safety. You should have colonoscopy either way.
Such symptoms caused by a meal and associated with heartburn can indicate stomach issues, pancreas irritation, gallbladder issues (including stones - even without characteristic pain). But it is really hard to find the reason of such symptoms appearance only once a month or cyclically.
For sure you should also have general tests including abdominal ultrasound, blood work, liver tests, amylase level, lipase level, bilirubin level. Gastroscopy should be considered.
Gastroenterologist consult should be a good idea to find the best diagnostic path.
