Question: I'm 65 and was diagnosed with diverticular disease several years back. I have also had heart surgery and back surgery. Earlier this year I was also diagnosed with a Fistula between my bladder and colon; which tore away from the colon I think when I fell down the stairs at my house earlier this year, which incidentally was when the fistula was found. Bowel movements have been a problem for some time now and I'm currently taking Linzess and using glycerin suppositories to help with the problem. I also suffer from OIC from the pain medication I've been on for quite some time now. The last few days have been worse then I have ever experienced as far as having a bowel movement. I don't know what else to do. I'm afraid to even eat because of it. what should I do? I know I need surgery but the surgeon says my heart is to weak and I'm afraid to sign the waiver. But I need some advice now about the current state of my lack of bowel movements. I push, and even went as far as putting my finger up in my anus to try and loosen something up but that caused my internal hemorrhoids to bleed and they were already inflamed. Should I stop eating? I am absolutely miserable, please tell me what I should do.

As far as pain meds go I take 4 of those 30 mg oxycodone(roxicodone)tablets a day as perscribed my the pain management doctor.
