Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
The drug prescribed is for seizure or epilepsy.
At this age most adolescent may suffer from juvenile myoclonic epilepsy characterised by generalized tonic clonic seizure, myoclonic jerks, frothing, posturing.
Other seizure type may be only tonic clonic type with posturing.
In epilepsy Mri may be normal.
Eeg may be required too.
If possible get a video recording of episodes by a XXXXXXX and present to a treating doctor.
Psychiatric illness are usually having no period of normalicy while seizures have complete normal behaviour intermittently.
Provide more clinical details.
Upload any reports or prescription if available.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
