What Causes Cough And Blocked Nose After Suffering From Throat Pain?
Question: I had a throat pain 3 days ago. While the pain was gone in a day it has left behind massive cough and blocked nose. Pls advise.

The infection in the throat would have made the throat mucosa sensitive. This can be over come by taking antihistamine medication like Benadryl or Cetrizine 10mg tablet once daily in night after food.
Do steam inhalations with eucalyptus oil in it, this will soothen the throat mucosa and reduce the sensitivity.
Also, gargle with antiseptic solution like Chlorhexidine thrice daily after food. This will prevent worsening of the infection.
