Brief Answer:
Follow your doctors advice. lactogen will not cause cough

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Lactogen is safe. It will not cause cough.
But feeding from bottle can cause infections.
Use paladai or spoon to feed instead of bottle.
To increase breastfeeding, mother should drink plenty of milk, juices and liquids.
Try feeding in relaxed calm dark place.
You need to continue medicines as advised by your doctor for cough.
If not improving get your child reexamined again.
There could be some chest signs like wheeze and may need nebulisations if identified.
Wishing your child good health and speedy recovery.
Regards
Dr Arun

Answered by Dr. Arun (6 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Yes you can give even in night

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Yes you can start cerelac.
Even at night no issues.
But give only once or twice a day for the first month.
Increase by one every month. ( Try other foods I mentioned, cerelac may not be needed if you can give home made rice, ragi, cereals, dhal, vegetables, Apple etc)
