What Causes Cough Inspite Of Having Diabetes?

I am a type 2 diabetic and under control. This past year has been difficult. I had what I was told pleurisy and then a cough set in that I still have. After numerous doctor visits, I was told I had walking pnuemonia. I had a chest X-Ray about a month ago and was tole it's gone. The problem is that I feel very weak and tired and my hands are shaking. I have no appetite and have lost weight since this all started. I cough mostly at night.
I also forgot to tell you that I have hypothyroidism. I forwarded my meds list so you can see everything I take.
Metabolic induced cough
Detailed Answer:
Hi friend
Thanks for using Healthcare Magic
I read your query and medication list that you are taking morning and night at regular schedule .
Most important cause for cough can be of 2 reason
1) Due to high level of urea / uric acid
2) due to allergic bronchospasm
The tiredness, tremors and weakness may be related to the same conditions.
1) I advice you to do blood urea / uric acid level and if found high , regular medications will bring to normal state thereby reducing cough
2) I advice you to use MontairLc (Monteleukast and Levocetrixine) at night time if blood urea / uric acid is in normal range.
Thyroid disorder and Diabetes have no role on cough and there is nothing to be worried.
Thank you.
You can ask me if you have anymore query.
