What Causes Cough, Sore Throat, Headaches And Rashes On Shoulder?
Question: I've been sick the last week. The practitioner at the minute clinic said it was a viral respritory thing. I have an unproductive cough, sore throat, headaches and today this weird rash came up on my shoulder and it isn't raised up or anything it just feels tender like I've been burned what the hell is this

I have reviewed your history and clinical pictures and it seems obvious you have got pityriasis rosea( PR)
PR is a kind of skin rash which commonly follows upper respiratory infection.
Initially a large rash develops which is called Herald patch and after that in few days multiple smaller lesions develop mainly over trunk area.
PR is not a serious condition and is self resolving.
For faster improvement you may apply soothing calamine lotion or hydrocortisone cream over rash.
Antihistamines like Benadryl can be taken i there is associated itching.
