Explained

Hello again
The sensations you have described are referred to as paresthesia. The pulse is also high. It can be due to associated anxiety or a cardiac rhythm issue. In any case, where there is associated chest pain, a cardiac cause should most definitely be ruled out.
The EKG will help in ruling out both an ischemic event and an arrhythmia. I would advise you to get it done sooner rather than later. Blood sugar and electrolytes including calcium should also be checked.
Metformin can lead to B 12 deficiency which can manifest in such altered sensations. If the cardiac workup is not significant then B 12 supplementation can be considered in consultation with your doctor.
