Question: Hi I have cyst in my left ovary of 4 cm . I am trying to conceive for 3 years .now doc advised me to take novelonn for 21 days . He told me cyst does not dissolve then they have to do laproscropy to remove cyst .plz advise
Brief Answer:
Diagnostic laproscopy+cystectomy
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear.Thanks for your query.
According to me, normally most ovarian cysts does not usually affect a woman's ability to conceive since they are functional and subside by themselves.
Since the cyst has been persisting since the last 3 years I would do a diagnostic laproscopy which will also help me visualise the ovarian tubes(to rule out tubal abnormality if any) and plan for a cystectomy. This procedure will preserve the ovarian function(only the cyst is removed) and it remains healthy.
Hope this answers your query.

Sir tubal test has already been done and reports are ok and cyst size is not increasing it is 4cm only my doc advised not do laprscopy as cyst is in left ovary and we will try for right ovary .is there any medicine to remove cyst . Cyst which is appearing is anechoic cyst as per ultrasound .plz advise as my husband doe not agree for laproscopy
Brief Answer:
CA 125, Diagnostic laparoscopy, Early induction of ovulation
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
Thanks for sharing the information.
Since the cyst is 4cm and is persistent it is very important to rule out underlying condition/pathology.
Have you for checked for done CA 125 antigen test?If yes please upload the report.
Thus by only doing a laparoscopy I will be able to make a pathological diagnosis followed by ovulation induction and plan for early pregnancy.Try to discuss and explain your husband about the line of management.I am sure he will agree with you.Get well soon.
