What Causes Dark Blue Veins On Breasts?
Question: Hi, i am 22 and a week ago i started noticing blue veins on my left breast which are very prominent. Some 20 days ago my left breast started paining and then the pain occurred in right one too. I consulted my doctor and he said that it was due to hormonal changes and there was some swelling too. But at that time no such veins were visible. The veins are freaking me out because some websites call it a sign of breast cancer or even IBC. Please suggest me if it is due to medication or hormonal changes or it is a sign of cancer?

What doctor did you consult - was it a simple physician, or a surgeon, or a gynecologist ?
Also, are you having pain right now ?

I consulted an oncologist. Yes sometimes i feel the pain though not permanent. I feel the pain when i press the lower side of the breast.
Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about.
Detailed Answer:
See, sometimes, bluish veins might indicate hormonal changes only.
It CAN be a symptom of cancer, but why think of that at 22 ?
Particularly since you have had an exam by an oncologist properly.
Fatty breasts can have bluish discolouration.
Wearing very tight or very loose brassieres can cause such issues.
Just to stay assured, you can go for a breast ultrasound cum mammogram.
Take care.
Nothing to worry about.

See as long as the investigations and check up are normal, you should not worry.
SOmetimes when you lose weight or tone up your muscles, this can happen.
Just have the workup suggested, and if it is okay, dont worry.
