What Causes Dark Discoloration On The Elbows Of A Child?
Question: My daughter has dark inner elbows. It's been there for quite some time now...it's not patchy..itchy or crusty. She is 6 years old with body weight of 21.She has never complained of itching..or the skin is not crusty or wavy..I apply atogla cream. Should I be concerned over the dark skin?

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Asymptomatic darkening of skin is not a disease.
If possible upload a photograph of the involved area.
This will help me in giving a closer diagnosis and better way of management.
Waiting for your response.
Thank you.

Hello Sir
I have attached a pic...it's not that it's prominent or that there are spots at other places..just that I don't won't to ignore any possibility. Would my existing cream be fine.

Brief Answer:
Use atogla
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the photograph.
It's just mild hypopigmentation of skin.
Keep using atogla.
If you feel that pigmentation is increased you can use a mild skin lightening cream like kojic acid.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
