Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Welcome to healthcaremagic.
I have read your query and understood your concern.
I have seen the attached pics also. Thanks for the same.
It seems you are having a skin condition known as Notalgia paresthetica.
It is characterised by a localized area of hyperpigmentation associated with itch, usually one sided on upper back.
Like eczemas, it has a remitting and relapsing course.
It usually gets worsen on exacerbation of dryness of skin. Another problem with it is that the more you itch, the more is the worsening of the condition and it in turn exacerbates itch. So, in short ,it becomes a vicious cycle.
I usually advice my such patients to put moderate to strong potency topical steroids like mometasone/clobetasol for 2-3 weeks. Additionally good amount of moisturisers are adviced to prevent the skin from dryness.
For symptomatic relief, antihistaminics like tab levocetrizine/ fexofenadine can be taken.
I hope it helps.
If you have further query, you may ask me.
I will be happy to help you further.
good luck.
