Brief Answer:
Vulvar Melanosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone through your query and I have also reviewed the Image.

It is most likely Vulvar or mucosal Melanosis, which is a benign and fairly common condition in general population. However it requires a Dermoscopy Or a Biopsy for a confirmatory diagnosis. Mucosal melanosis is similar to lentigines on skin.

Brief Answer:
Not related to melasma

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

No. This is not related to melasma. There is no underlying cause for vulvar melanosis. It is just like some people have it and others do not. Vular melanosis is basically due to increased number of melanocytes when looked under a microscope.
