What Causes Dark Spots On Penis?

Question: Hello, i noticed today, that i have a dark spot on my penis shaft.. about 0.5 cm in diameter, it's not swollen or anything, looks like just the skin has changed colour.

Any ideea what this might be? Or how to treat it?

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Usually these type of spots on penis with no other symptoms like rash,itching ,pain are not of concern.
From the description it might just post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.The skin might have been irritated in that area (due to friction ,sexual intercourse or masturbation ) and after this hyperpigmantation has happened in this spot due to increased melanin within epidermal cells.
Usually small dark spots on penis shaft are not suggestive for any serious condition that would require medical care.

For proper diagnosis ,physical examination is essential.If you want you can send me a picture to evaluate it better or you can check it with your physician the next time you see it just in case but it doesn't seem of concern.

This doesn't require a specific treatment because it goes away on it's own with time.
