What Causes Delay In Period Despite Having Negative UPT?
Question: Hi , my girl friend has been missing her period since 2 months.
Her due date is 26th and she missed it month too.
On docs advise (from here only) she took the pregnancy test with first morning urine sample. And it came out negative.
I have 2 questions here.
1. At around 3 o clock at night she went to pee and then around at 10 o'clock in the morning she took the test. Will this affect the test result in any way ??
2. currently she is taking Regestrone tablet. how affective is this medicine ??

1) NO, test result of morning urine sample DOESN'T alter or affect after peeing at night. Repeated test may be advised if sexual intercourse takes place during her fertile period or ovulation day.
2) REGESTRONE helps to induce period within 5 to 7 days after stopping them. There are several reasons of missed period besides pregnancy like Hormonal imbalance, mental stress, Poly cystic ovary, weight gain, thyroid disturbance, irregular diet habit etc.
I suggest her to undergo one ultrasound scan and hormone test if she DOESN'T get her period after taking above medicine. Kindly, consult with gynecologist for proper guidance and treatment.
