What Causes Delayed Menstrual Cycles After Taking Ecosprin And Folvite?

Following a miscarriage (first-time) in July 2014 and a positive ANA (no symptoms or no auto-immune disorder) , I am put on Ecosprin (75 mg) and Folvite (.5 mg). I have been taking both of these since October'14.
However I have observed, that my cycle lengths are getting unusually delayed (dates: Sep 25, Nov 2, Dec 7 - no period yet this month). Although my cycle length has always been longger (not exceeding 43 days), I would like to know if Ecosprin has any role to play in this?
Worried. Please advise.
Ecosprin does not affect cycles, dont worry about that.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
It is good to hear from you again.
Hope you have been fine meanwhile.
Ecosprin cannot cause any alteration of the menstrual cycle.
You are taking low dose Ecosprin, and at this dosage, it has no effect on cycles.
Please do not worry about that aspect.
You have a history of delayed cycles.
This tendency gets aggravated with factors such as - increasing age, stress, anxiety, recent late nights or erratic eating, hecting travelling, exercise, fluctuations in body weight etc.
Personally, I am aware that this has been a very stressful and turbulent period emotionally for you.
That might be the cause.
There is nothing to worry about.
Take care.
Would be happy to discuss further as you see fit.

And now, with the delayed cycle (this month) have only added to the worry woes even further on whether I am fit enough. Is there any medicine you would like to suggest to regularise my period?
Thanks again for your prompt reply.
Regards.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
I respect your sentiments.
However your reaction is quite extreme.
You are quite young and healthy, and trust me, a first time miscarriage is something that happens to more than half of the women who attempt a pregnancy !
It is that common !
No medication can be suggested without investigations.
Some women just have delayed cycles, it is part of their body.
As long as you have delayed cycles every month, it is just your normal pattern, like the colour of your hair, or your height !
Investigations can be carried out if the periods are particularly irregular.
WOrkup includes -
1. Transvaginal pelvic ultrasound scan.
2. Hormonal levels - FSH, LH , TSH, Prolactin, OGTT, DHEAS, Free testosterone, Lipid profile.
Try and indulge in regular yoga / meditation , it will calm your mind and body.
Daily exercise also helps.
Eat fit and healthy.
And once more, I urge to try and approach pregnancy with a positive outlook , you can trust me that the odds of a successful pregnancy are much higher than what you think !
Furthermore, if the issue is truly distressing you and you are not able to overcome the blues inspite of your best efforts, please consult a good Psychologist, maybe you need temporary counselling to help you out ( we all have these phases of feeling low from time to time, particularly after trying situations in life, and there is no harm or shame in seeking out professional help ).
Try and involve your partner in your thoughts and fears.
Take a much needed and relaxing vacation.
Revive old forgotten hobbies.
Life at your age is vibrant and full of promise.
Adoption is a decision I always respect, however, it should be out of choice, and not out of a fear of having your own children, something, that in my opinion, you are perfectly capable of !
Take care dear.
