What Causes Delayed Menstruation After Taking I-pill And Regestrone?
Question: Hi,
I've consumed regestrone 5mg daily at night for 10 days to postpone my periods. My due date for period was 6th July, and I started taking regestrone tablet from 3rd July. And I have also taken an I - pill to avoid pregnancy after unprotected sex during the time of having regestrone tablet. Now I am slightly worried as it’s been six days I have not got my periods still. And I’m having white discharge as well.
kindly tell me what to do now and when is my period expected.

You should not be worried about your delayed menses because it is delayed due to hormonal imbalance caused by registerone and I - pill.
Usually period resume within a week after stopping regesterone tablet but in your case as you have I-pill also it may delayed by 7-14 days.
But to be safer side you should take your home urine pregnancy test after 7 days of your missed period date.

So, should i take that test now, or should I wait for one more week, to see if period resumes, as you said it may take 7-14 days to resume period ; as I have taken I-Pill.
