What Causes Delayed Menstruation After Taking Norethisterone And I-pill After Intercourse?
Question: Hi,
I had my periods due on the 10th of may. Since I was going to have a last trip with my boyfriend I took norethisterone to delay my periods. I took it for five days from 7th may to 11th may. Since we had sex on the 12th I also took an I pill within the next day. Have heard that periods become irregular after I pill. So when should I be expecting my periods? Also is there any chance of pregnancy ?

Brief Answer:
The chances of pregnancy are very less.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting us about your health care.
I can understand your concern here.
As you had norethisterone to delay your menses, usually period resume with in a week after stopping the medication but as you had I-pill, now the predictions of mensesis quite difficult.
Now you may have hormonal imbalance due to I- pill, so it may delay your menses.
The chances of pregnancy are less as you had I-pill on time.
So wait for your menses for one to two weeks.
Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more questions.
Good luck.
Regards
