its been 2 days since i missed my period...i gt the pregnancy urine test done with stick and result was negative.
my periods have been regular but this time its delayed.what can be the reason?

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy, stress or hormonal disturbances.
If the urine pregnancy test is negative, then the chances of pregnancy are very less.
However, sometimes the ovulation is delayed leading to delayed conception and hence the urine pregnancy test becomes positive a bit delayed. Urine pregnancy test can be wrong if the kit is defective.
I will suggest you to get the blood beta hCG levels done after one week if periods do not come till then, which is much more sensitive than urine pregnancy test in detecting the pregnancy.
If the test is negative, then you should get your thyroid levels and prolactin hormone levels done.
