What Causes Diarrhea After Eating Non Vegetarian Food?
Question: Hello Dr. I am XXXX. from the past 4 months when ever I take Non-Veg(fish/meat/chicken) from very next day loose motion & wormiting will start & will continue for 4-5 days. Last month I got admitted in hospital as I was not feeling comfortable & after test of ultrasound, blood & urine nothing was found. Doctors told me to skip non-veg for few weeks which I did for a month & after a month I tried non-veg & again same issue. Not sure what to do now. Please advise
Brief Answer:
Reintroduce meat gradually
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
The problems could be due to food allergy, I would suggest you stop Non veg for 2-3 weeks . Then re introduce it gradually in your diet
Start with chicken in the first week (once a week) followed by meat in the second and fish in the third week.( as it is the food which is most likely to cause allergies. Avoid chineese preparations as it contains sauces and monosodium gluconate which can aggravate symptoms.
Hope this helps

Brief Answer:
No specific medication available

Hello,
Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to prevent a food allergy other than avoiding the food you are allergic to. Some times if the foods are stopped for a long time the allergies can go away
