What Causes Diarrhea Along With Orange Colored Stool?

Question: I have been experiencing diarrhea for the past week (since last Tuesday). The stool has been and orange color and varying from very watery to greasy. I have been having painful cramps, unable to control it, gas, and frequent trips to the bathroom. It has not been uncommon for me to have constipation in the past. But that normally passes in a matter of a few hours. So this is something I have never experience before.

Is there need for concern? Is there something I can take over the counter?

I can understand your concern.
This seems to an infection in intestines.
Orange colored stools may be containing blood.
In these type of cases If I was a treating doctor I would have advised
Plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration.
Avoid spicy food for time being.
Get the stool test done for ova, cyst, and occult blood.
Start following medication after stool test, till waiting for result.
A combination of oflaxacin and ornidazole tablets.
Also a tablet of albendazole for any parasite in intestine.
