Question: My gall bladder was removed approximately 10 years ago. 7 years ago my appendix burst, I was over medicated and ended by on a ventalater. During surgury, they said my mother's imbilical cord was wrapped around my large intestine. They removed ten inches, but I do not have a bag. Have been back to dancing 4 nights a week. Am 69 years old. Recently I experienced a pain in my lower stiomach, pelvic area. Have diarrhea every few days and vomit intermittingly. Your comments YYYY@YYYY

Brief Answer:
Doesn't seem to be anything very serious.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome to Health Care Magic.
My name is Dr Muhammad Ahmad & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way.

MY OPINION:
After reading your history and description, in my opinion this does not seem anything related to your old surgeries, this seems to be a simple gut upset but as you have gone through so much lately you are anxious about the cause.

After extensive surgeries of gut the only fear we have is having an obstruction , no diarrhea

Old surgeries aren't really known to cause diarrhea but bowel OBSTRUCTION in patients who have had old surgeries are 90% related to those very surgeries, so in my opinion you shouldn't worry.

SUGGESTIONS:
1- Meet a G.P if you can to get prescription for your G.I issue.
2- Drink much water.
3- You can use an antacid if you have acid reflux issues lately.
4- Avoid fizzy drinks, spicy food and alcohol, avoid smoking.(if anything is applicable in your case).
5- Eat fibrous, and easily digesting food.
6- You can use your enzymes.
7- If things don't get better you can get an ultrasound done if you GP suggests after examining you.

I hope my reply would have alleviated you anxiety to some extent just take it as a minor issue and a routine G.I upset and in my opinion you will soon be just fine as your body recovers and get better of the bug causing it.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
