What Causes Diarrhea While On Aziwok?
Question: I have given aziwok 100 mg syrup 5mg three times instead of once by mistake for two days. My 1.6 years old baby had loose motion once after 6 Hrs taking last medicine. Kindly guide me what to observe

Hi... you need not worry. Usually this might cause some diarrhea.... antibiotic associated diarrhoea.
This is what you should do -
1. Stop giving any further dose of Azithromycin.
2. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.
3. You may need to give probiotics, especially Saccharomyces boulardii. It is available as Econorm XXXXXXX You can give one XXXXXXX thrice a day for 5 days. But this is a prescription drug and you will need a doctor's prescription for it.
