Brief Answer:
Suspicious of acute gastroenteritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern for your beloved grandson.

After having gone through the given history, it seems to me he has developed acute gastroenteritis apparently after consuming a pastry. Hence a possibility of a food poisoning to be ruled out.

Since, he is already admitted in the hospital and treatment is being given in the form of antibiotics, IV fluids & medications to reduce the fever, there is nothing to worry.
In addition to Crocin & Meftal-P, the high grade fever will be effectively reduced with the use of IV fluids & meticulous tepid sponging.

Hope this could answer your query.

Best regards.
