What Causes Diarrhoea While On Aciphex?
Question: Dr. Khan: I am doing the same. I went to the physcian's assistant last Monday and she ordered
blood test (maybe allergic to something) and stool sample. Both are done. I go this Thursday
for a colonoscopy and endoscopy so glad about that. Hope the doctor can get to the bottom of
all this. She changed my acid reflux medicine to Aciphex but am not going to start taking it until
after the procedures on Thursday. Am finding a poached egg gave me diarrhea this morning.
Am at the point that I don't know what to eat. Thanks for asking. Will keep in touch.

Lets hope for the best.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for keeping in touch
Its good that you got an appointment and work up. Do let me know when the results show up. You should start the new acid reflux medication right now , it does not affect the procedure. If you got a diarrhea from a poached egg, try some other food. Any food rich in fiber can be preferred, eg wheat, corn, XXXXXXX , cereal, fruits and vegetables etc.
There are no food abstinences for you. Just avoid processed and canned foods, spicy foods, sweets, artificial sweeteners, chocolates etc. good luck for the colonoscopy.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and let me know how it goes.

Khan
