What Causes Difficulty In Defecation?

default
Posted on Mon, 14 Jul 2014
Question: Hello Sir,
It takes me long time (30-40 minutes) for defecation. Stool passes 3-4 times but with a gap of 5-10 minutes in between and at the end some mucus passes on. In fact, I don't feel relaxed unless and until that mucus goes out completely. This is happening for more than 3 years now. Please advise.

Brief Answer:
You need to take fiber supplements

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Apologies for the late reply...

Based on the replies, I do not see any alarming signs. Some amount of mucus is normal only.

To ease your bowel movements, you need to take high fiber diet and drink lot of fluids.
You need to take fiber supplements. You can try cremadiet one scoop twice a day mixed in 250 ml of water.

I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
