Try and increase breast milk supply, why are you using a pump at all ?
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
What kind of a breast pump are you using ?
Why is there a need to use a breast pump at all ?
Your wife should be able to exclusively breastfeed the baby without the aid of a pump is she is at home .
The pump cannot go faulty all of a sudden, maybe the technique is wrong.
To increase milk supply , following steps are taken -
1. Drink lots of fluids, atleast 5 litres per day.
2. Increase intake of methi, fennel ( saunf ) , spinach, green leafy vegetables.
3. Satavarex herbal powder is available to naturally increase breast milk secretion.
4. Pump soon after meal, Have a glass of water before starting to pump.
5. Pump alone in a room listening to good relaxational music.
6. Keep your wife stress free.
7. Try and feed the baby directly ( 20 minutes at a time ) every 2 - 3hours, that should be enough, there is no need for a pump then.
How much milk is being pumped per day ?
Is your baby passing urine and stools normally and gaining weight properly ?
Then there is no need to worry.
Please write back with more details.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.
