I've been trying since quitting sprintec bc (march 6, 2014) and no investigations done. I've normal periods and have been in good health. I'm guessing it's taking longer because of being on birth control for 3 1/2 years. It took my body 6 months to get back on track after being on the depo shot. Then I had my second child.

Brief Answer:
secondary infertility

Detailed Answer:
I do not think it is because of the birth control, since you have regular cycles.
If the difficulty in conception was due to birth control, you would have some irregularity in your periods, but that is not the case.
You need to have investigations for the reason for this problem ( it is called secondary infertility ).
Please get your husband / partner's semen analysis .
Get follicular monitoring done for yourself ( serial ultrasound scan to check for ovulation ).
Also, a laparoscopy can be done to check the patency of the fallopian tubes .
Take regular folic acid tablets.
