What Causes Difficulty In Getting Sleep When On Xanax,Ziprasidone And Ambien?

Question: I am under a neurologists care. I take temazepam 15mg, xanax .25mg and ziprasidone 20mg. Sometimes I still can't sleep and I take 10mg of Ambien. I think I've gotten used to it and now I need 2 to sleep. My appointment isn't unit May 16 and because he is out of town I can't make an earlier appointment. What should I do?

Hello,

I have read your query. You seem to be on 4 drugs to treat your symptoms currently.

All the four medicines should help you with sleep. However, you seem to still can't get enough of it.

For time being, there is no harm in taking 2 ambien, if you feel the need. Rest, you need to continue all the medicines as all of them are vital to maintain your symptoms.

Please do not increase or decrease the dosage of the other three drugs by yourself except for just one extra tablet of Ambien.

Please wait for your doctor's appointment before making any changes in your treatment plan.

I understand that it might be frustrating for you to not get enough sleep. However, try to keep yourself calm and rest as much as you can.
