In this age better to go for conservative management
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your query; and according to my best of knowledge I personally suggest you that your son go for the conservative management till the age of the three years if the condition is not severe.
Yes, tonsil and adenoid swelling causes difficulty in swallowing but first I prefer conservative management instead surgery, preferably in this age.
Conservative management include
1. Throat swab culture and antibiotic sensitivity and the antibiotic according to the test result.
2. Continue the nasonex nasal spray for further three months.
3. Use nasal decongestant for atleast five days two drops three times a day if not avoided.
4. Take fexofenadine syrup one tea spoon full once a day for atleast one month.
5. Avoid cold drinks, cold water, ice cream and any cold things if he have.
Before continue this conservative management, please consult with your doctor.
