Could be writer's cramp or benign tremors.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your problem.
Based on the description, there are two possibilities:
1. Writer's cramp (or
focal dystonia)- in this condition, there is difficulty in writing. Hand and forearm pains and the handwriting is not good. There is no difficulty in doing any other activities such as holding a cup of tea or a glass of water, etc.
This can be treated with medications such as pacitane (trihexiphenidyl) and revocon (
tetrabenazine). If there is no improvement, then,
botox injections can be given.
2. Benign or essential tremors: There is shivering or tremors of hands and it occurs while doing any activity with hands.
Medications such as beta blockers and
clonazepam can help.
In medical history, you have described your wife's condition. Is this query about you or your wife?
