symptoms for 5 days ago
No fever
the test was a strip of multi colored sections dipped into my urine. All sections were negative for infection
no vaginal discharge
I was diagnosed with fibroids 12 years ago - menses stopped several years ago
left ovary removed due to large cyst about 35 years ago

Brief Answer:
See the answer below in deatil.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,thanks for the details.
With these symptoms for 5 days,UTI is still the first possibility.
In such a situation, with a negative card test, after starting empirical antibiotic therapy with antibiotics like norfolxacin / cefixime,I will go for a urine microscopy and culture and sensitivity test.
Depending on the test result,we may need a change in antibiotic or futher investigations like USG abdomen.
Ureteric calculus with or without secondary infection also is a possibility. Not all calculi may not be visible on x-ray.Some need USG to be detected.
Your doctor will guide you further.
Meanwhile, take you can take paracetamol(if not allergic) for temporary relief, and take plenty of oral fluids.
Hope, now I have cleared your doubt. If you have no further questions, you can close the discussion and rate the answer.
Wishing for a faster and complete cure,Thank you.
