What Causes Discomfort In The Throat While Swallowing?

Brief Answer:
Please start gargling with chlorhexidine gargles
Detailed Answer:
Hello
It looks like that the soreness may be due to enlargement of the neck lymph nodes, which in turn may be due to a throat infection. both of these are possible after an upper respiratory tract infection.
If you do not have fever then there is no need to start antibiotics. Just start gargling with chlorhexidine gargles 2 to 3 times a day, take paracetamol 500 mg 2 to 3 times a day for the pain and tablet cetrizine 10mg at night for the cold.
If however you develop more throat pain, high grade fever or enlargement of the neck nodes, then it would be advisable to meet an ent doctor and start on antibiotics.
Take care!

Brief Answer:
Please continue the gargles
Detailed Answer:
Hello
It generally takes around 1 to 2 weeks for the symptoms to settle down and i suggest till then you continue your gargles. Please dont worry you will be fine!!
You can take tablet paracetamol 500mg for the pain.
The gastritis may be due to the stress of illness or due to the medications, you can take tablet omeprazole 20mg half hour before food, twice a day for this.
Take care!
