What Causes Discomfort Shoulder And Numbness In Arm And Back?

Question: ongoing shoulder discomfort, mainly in front of shoulder occasionally extends in numbness/heaviness down arm, and occasionally into shoulder at back as in shoulder blade area.

I have studied your case carefully; based on your description it seems to be pinched nerve at cervical spine region because of slip disc may be a cause.MRI cervical spine is the Investigation of choice to confirm the cause.
You may take following medicine under medical guidance-Ibuprofen and muscle relaxant (Thiocochicoside/metaxolone) and Pregablin helps.
I would like to know the status of both shoulder movement in your reply, are they normal?

can move shoulder fine, do a bit of swimming shoulder is o.k whilst swimming after can become sore, extending across upper part of chest. This occurs after driving car sometimes also, especially long trip, and when sleeping on side.

You may take pain killer and anti-inflammatory at bed time as pain is usually more at night time and leads to disturb sleep.
