Brief Answer:
he might be hungry.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
Most probable cause is baby might be hungry.
Try giving him more solid food.
Sometimes colic pain (if baby makes grunting sound) may be the reason if there is any recent change in the diet.
How is his other activities like playful or not, urine and stool output.
Happy to help you with more follow up query.

Dear Doc,

We anticipated hunger and feed him i cup of cooked rice + dal / veggies before he sleeps or a roti and milk. Both contain ghee. Colic doesnt seem to be the reason.
Should i increase the quantity of food, he also has 4 ounces of milk after dinner (usu around 9 30) before he sleeps.

he is quite playful and active through the day. Urine is on the higher side, stools 2 - 3 times a day.

Thanks in advance

Brief Answer:
its normal

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the follow up.

Looking after your detailed descrption it is looking normal to me.
Some babies sleeps less without any reason.
Just change the diapers asap if he passes urine or stool.
You can give padicloryl syp. for calm sleep of the baby, it is safe , no side effects.
Also if weight gain is good there is nothing to worry. Please let me know his weight.

Hope i helped you.
