Brief Answer:
Acute mastoiditis
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare Magic and thanks for putting up the query.
All the symptoms are suggestive of mastoiditis or middle ear disease.
Acute mastoiditis must be treated with antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs rather than steroids alone. Please send me the xray mastoiditis.
Any history of ear discharge?
Any swelling around the ear?
Any history of nasal infection or throat infection in the recent past?
If possible please send me the picture of the ear and surrounding so that I can suggest you better.
Follow up with the required information.
Take care
Thanks and regards

Don't know whether my follow up went through
I have no ear discharge or temperature or respiratory symptoms or tenderness over my ear or mastoid bone
Ct scan showed minimal mucosal thickening inferior left mastoid and MRI showed trace amount of fluid in inferior mastoid air cells
Do you still rec an antibiotic
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Mastoiditis
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the information.
If the xray shows mucosal hypertrophy in the mastoids, as per my experience it is advisable to take antibiotics as it will prevent any bacterial infection in the mastoids and will treat if any infection is there.
Avoid any water entering into the ears.
Any further questions are always welcome.
Take care
Thanks and regards
