What Causes Dizziness And Light-headedness With Decreased Appetite?

default
Posted on Mon, 5 Jan 2015
Question: I have been dizzy and light headed since Tuesday with marked decreased appetite. I work a retail job and I think I may have picked something up there. I vomited for 1 day, but that symptom has gone. No lower GI upset. (I shared a cash register at my retail job with someone who had similar symptoms.) Maybe I just picked something up?

Brief Answer:
Probably a viral infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
Your symptoms are suggestive of a gastritis. It may be due to a viral infection which you and your colleague picked up . If your colleague had the symptoms earlier than you, then you could have picked it up from your colleague.
It could be even from some food that both could have eaten.
Since you do not have fever or giddiness, I think it will pass with time. If you are very symptomatic, you could consult your GP and get some symptomatic treatment.
